The authorities use it to verify compliance with driving and rest times, which must be in line with the Working Time Directive in force in the European Union.
How does it work?
By using the Tacho Reader solution, vehicles leaving Romania’s borders now have the possibility to download data remotely, via a web platform, in the form of a .ddd file, which saves valuable time, also helping reduce route deviations.
There is also the possibility to set recurring file download from the tachograph.
To download, the driver card must be inserted into the tachograph, and the manager must have an internet connection, and be simultaneously connected to the TachoReader app and to the card reader, until an email notification is received. Thus, the entire process is simplified and cost-effective.
